OH 2024 IMC Update Part 2
This course continues our overview of the International Mechanical Code. The lessons examine chapters six through eight and highlight changes made to the 2024 edition. Topics discussed include combustion air, ductwork, and chimneys.
OH 2024 IMC Update Part 1
This course introduces Ohio HVAC professionals to the 2024 International Mechanical Code. The lessons review the first five chapters and cover several topics, including code definitions, the code’s scope, and ventilation and exhaust systems.
OH HV 2021 IMC Update Part 1
This course reviews and highlights essential Code requirements of the first five chapters of the International Mechanical Code (IMC). Included in the review are specific examples of the life safety systems relating to heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and exhaust systems. Changes from the previous version of the IMC are identified. This course has no prerequisites.
OH HV 2021 IMC Update Part 2
This OH-approved course covers updates found in Sections 6-15 of the 2021 International Mechanical Code. Specific topics include duct systems, combustion air systems, chimneys and vents, fireplaces and solid fuel-burning equipment, boilers and water heaters, refrigeration systems, hydronic and fuel oil piping, and solar thermal systems.
OH HV Residential HVAC System Replacements
This course will review and highlight essential HVAC installation challenges with replacement systems. Included in the review will be specific examples of challenges related to heating, ventilation, air conditioning and exhaust systems, and best practices to overcome those challenges. This course will primarily concentrate on residential systems.
CE Requirements to Renew an OH HVAC License
Ohio’s HVACR contractors must adhere to the following requirements in order to renew their license:
- Complete 8-10 hours of continuing education every year.
- Licensees in compliant contractor program only need 8 hours.
- Only half of those hours may be completed online. All remaining hours must be completed in an in-person classroom training.
State of Ohio HVAC License Renewal Deadlines
- Licenses must be renewed by the individual license expiration date, every year.
