This course was created to give the plumber all eight hours of required continuing education to renew their license. Includes an introduction to the Uniform Plumbing Code, and covers the changes to the UPC.

The course begins with the introduction to UPC and will cover how changes are described in the 2018 UPC, as well as how we'll show changes to Sections as we cover each Chapter. Most of the time spent in this class is on how the 2018 UPC is organized, getting into the scope and purpose of each of the 17 Chapters, as well as the 13 Appendices. In it, we'll go over a series of minor changes to the UPC Chapters, as it was updated from the 2015 version. We'll cover the major changes, explaining how each of the major changes affects the plumber.

Reviewing Chapter 4 of the UPC that governs plumbing fixtures and fixture fittings, and we start off this class with each of the minor changes. We also cover the five major changes made to this Chapter, including the major change made to the Section on “Water Supply.”

Chapter 6 reviews topics like connections, pipe and fixture materials, supply tanks, and potable water piping. Chapter 7 of the UPC covers sanitary drainage, includes topics such as drainage systems, joints and connections for drainage piping, cleanouts, and building sewage systems.

The final class covers the Appendices. This class talks about recommended rules for sizing a water supply system, sustainable practices, and the peak water demand calculator.

Throughout the course, there are in-text questions that are there to test your knowledge and make sure you understand and retain the material in the course.
