Alaska 8 Hour Plumbing CE Industry-Related: Water Heaters & Common Problems
This class provides eight hours of content on topics central to the plumbing trades. It includes a comprehensive class on all aspects of residential water heaters followed by an in-depth survey of some of the most often cited violations and thorny plumbing areas and how to address them.
Alaska 2021 UPC Update
This Alaska-approved course provides eight hours of required content on code changes to the 2021 Uniform Plumbing Code.
Alaska 8 Hour 2018 UPC Code Update Course
This 8 hour course was designed with the plumber in mind, and contains all of the required code topics for renewing your license. The course includes an introduction to the Uniform Plumbing Code, and covers the major changes made to the UPC.
Each of these topics work together to give you all of the code training you need to renew your license, all at your own pace!
Alaska 8 Hour Plumbing CE: Industry-Related: Sanitary Drainage, Rainwater, Graywater and OWTS
This class provides eight hours of content on topics central to the plumbing trades. It begins with a comprehensive course of study on all aspects of residential and commercial sanitary drainage systems, followed by a survey of the most recent developments in grease interceptors. This is followed with a survey in the principles and specific applications of Rainwater Harvesting in Alaska. The final part of the class covers two related topics, both experiencing rapid changes - POWTS (Private Onsite Water Treatment Systems) and systems that reuse graywater.
AK Safety for Plumbers
This online course provides Alaska plumbers with four hours of instruction on safety concerns and standards. It covers a number of topics including general workplace safety, hazardous substances, flammable and combustible materials, common workplace hazards, and physical strains experienced by plumbers.
AK Sanitary Drainage Systems
This four-hour course for plumbing professionals in Alaska presents the general principles involved in designing, installing, and maintaining efficient sanitary drainage systems in residential and commercial settings. It also examines grease interceptors, their importance, and fats, oils, and greases (F.O.G.).
AK Water Heaters
This educational course teaches plumbers in Alaska everything they need to know about water heaters. The training covers essential knowledge about how water heater systems work, focusing on their components and operation for both gas and electric models. Principles of safety, maintenance and energy-saving innovations are also discussed.
CE Requirements to Renew an AK Plumbers License
- Plumbing professions including Plumber Gas, Plumber Utility, Journeyman Plumber licensees, and Mechanical Administrators must obtain 8 hours of continuing education on the currently adopted UPC every two years to renew their license.
- In addition, Journeyman Plumbers must obtain an additional 8 hours of continuing education on industry related topics.

- The license renewal deadline is based on the license issue date, every two years.
